College Major Compare and Contrast

Compare and Contrast Essay Right now I’m stuck between what major I want to pursue in college. I’m in my second year of accounting right now, and not only do I like it, but I’m doing pretty well also. The concepts come easy to me unlike some other things (comma rules for example). But I don’t know if I want to be stuck in an office all day doing accounting stuff. Do I want to become some preppy business person who becomes snobby and conceited? At the current moment, I am undecided, but maybe this essay will change my decision. Or maybe I want to go into computer science. I know so much about computers and related stuff. I’ve been around computers for years. I’ve taught myself html (hypertext markup language) and how to design good web pages. I know how to troubleshoot computers like a master and can learn how to correct just about any problem. Graphic editing programs are a downfall of mine though. I can do the basic things like resizing, adding borders, text, effects

The accounting "certification" test takes approximately eight hours. Would I be ready for them even with my prior experience in high school A computer major would force me to take classes in programming. Companies are always looking for students with accounting majors, so I wouldn"tmt have to worry about finding a place to work. I"tmm not positive on the other classes I"tmd be taking, but I"tmm sure they would be technology-oriented. That also brings up another point: do I want my hobby to be my job If I work with computers and web design, the pressures of work might make me not like my hobby anymore. On my college application, I selected accounting. I understand most of what I"tmm doing now, but then again, what I"tmm doing now isn"tmt terribly difficult either. Computers on the other hand have hundreds of different fields. If I were to go to college to major in accounting, I"tmd be taking more business-oriented classes which isn"tmt a bad thing, but isn"tmt a good thing either. , and other simple things but hardcore graphic editing is still weakness, as is programming. That means five more years of school! Most computer majors are still four years, but there would always be new things to learn and more time at school. I took C a few years ago and failed horribly (partially because the teacher was not the brightest). I could go into tech support, programming (well, no), software engineering, web design, graphic design, network administration, or many more that I can"tmt think of right now. Accounting has a few different fields. The real problem I have is pursuing something that will probably benefit me well financially or pursuing my hobby.
