Dead Poets Society

             Neil's journey of denial begining at the start of the new school term where he gets a new roommate named Tom Anderson. All of Neil's friends come in and they start mucking around when Neil's father walks in and tells him that he is dropping a class, the class is the school newspaper one of Neil's favourite classes. A bit longer into it they meet there new English teacher who also attended the same school as they are now, from that moment they realise that this teacher had different and unusual ways of teaching them.
             Neil and his friends find an article in an old school annual with their English teacher in it and it has written that he was the leader of the dead poets society, they ask him about it and he tells them about the cave that they used to meet in every Friday night. That Friday they snuck out to the cave by the river to start there own dead poet's society.
             Later on Neil goes for a part in a community play and gets the leading role, but to be able to take part in the play he needs a letter from his father saying that he can do it, Neil knows that his father wont give him one so he types one up himself.
             Later in the year Neil goes to his second to last rehearsal and when he gets back to the school his father is waiting for him in his room where his father tells him to quit the play, Neil tries to tell his father that the play is only two days away but his father doesn't listen and walks off. After his father is gone Neil goes to talk to his English teacher telling him that his father has never asked him what he wants, and that his father is planning his life for him. The teacher tells him to go and tell his father what he just told him.
             Neil goes and tells his father, and even though his father is angry at him for doing so Neil goes to the play doing what he want to do. Neil is very happy doing the play then he sees his father walk in.
