The life of Karl Marx
Karl Marx is the "inventor" of communism, a style of society used presently by countries such as China and North Korea. Communism is a type of government style in which all wealth is spread equally. It was designed to create a utopian type of world where no one is more or less well off. Communism has not been used the way that Marx intended to and has become a way to mask a dictator's real motives. In this essay, you will learn about the man behind Communism.Karl Marx was born in Trier, Rhenish Prussia, which is now Germany, on May 5, 1818. Karl was born to a Jewish family that later turned Lutheran. Karl was schooled in Triar and later attended Bonn University to study law. Karl didn't take school seriously and spent most of his time socializing and running up debts. Karl was wounded in a duel, and his father was horrified so he decided to pay off his son's debts, but send Karl to a calmer school, Berlin University. Karl worked hard for the next two years of his schooling at Berlin. A lecturer named Bruno Bauer fascinated him. Bauer had been in trouble with the law because of his atheism and radical political views. Bauer introduced Karl to the writings of G.W.F Hegel. Karl was impressed by Hegel's philosophy stati
Karl completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Jena. Over the next ten years the newspaper published 487 of Marx's articles (125 of them were actually written by Engels). This group, called The Cologne Circle, had its own newspaper, the Rhenish Gazette. After attending meetings of this organization and the closely related communist league, he decided to concentrate on his new book the Communist Manifesto. The failure of another revolution drained Marx's energy. Karl's father died in 1828, leaving Karl to earn his own living. Karl began attending socialist meetings. Marx met a radical who called himself a socialist. This article criticized the Prussian government and so the Prussians banned it. He moved to cologne where a liberal action was taking place. Marx began studying and learning about the capitalistic society and exploring ways for the working class to bring about a socialistic revolution. Marx believed that the solution to this problem was communism as this would enable the fulfillment of "his potentialities as a human. Marx was later appointed the editor of the newspaper in 1842. " Marx and Engels founded a partnership. Marx's money problems returned when he stopped writing for the New York newspaper.
