Once I tried to teach my dog how to fetch. At first she would not go after the ball, but in about 2 months she got it down. Next time I would pay a trainer and have them teach her how to fetch. I would use treats next time to get her more interested. I would also have her at a place where she wouldn't get distracted.
             I could take her to a trainer and have the trainer teach her. For example, I could take here to a place where they teach obedience like maybe Pet Smart would. It would cost more than just attaching treats to a ball, but there would be a lot less hassle giving her to a trainer. There would be some benefits to taking her to a trainer though. She could be more obedient, and she could listen more. The money doesn't look so bad to me right now, for the stress I would have to go through.
             I would use treats to get her interested in going after the ball. For example, I would have to start by just giving them to here for no reason. That would get her interested and wanting more. I could maybe attach the treats to the ball with some tape. This would get her interested in the ball by the smell and taste. Then once she gets the ball in her mouth I should call her back. So now she would be coming back with the ball. This would need to be done over and over. Every five throws I should take off one treat until there are no more and she doesn't even notice that there aren't any more treats on it any more.
             I would also have her at a place where she wouldn't be distracted. For example, I could take her to a football field where there is nothing but grass. I could take her to the one that is next to my house. I wouldn't have to go far . There would be nothing for her to be distracted by except for birds.
             Next time I would just pay a trainer and have him teach her how to fetch, or maybe I would use treats next time to get her more interested. I would also have her at a place where she wouldn'...
