Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was an electrical inventor and researcher. He was conceived on 1856 in Yugoslavia, though he was Serbian. Nikola Tesla travelled to America in 1884. When he arrived at America, he had nothing, but luckily managed to find employment working for Thomas Edison. Edison cheated Nikola Tesla out of his due payment when Edison had made an agreement to pay him $50,000 if he could improve the D.C power system. Edison refused to pay and told Nikola he was jesting. Eventually, he was able to open his own lab, and start putting life to all the ideas he had conjured up. He implemented many improvements, which proved more efficient over the standard electronics at time. In 1895, he discovered X-rays, which have revolutionized the way doctors, attend to broken limbs, The Tesla coil, which we are extremely dependant on today for T.V, Radio, and other devices in which electrical signals are incorporated, He installed hydraulic power generators into the Niagara Falls, He invented a remote controlled boat (and proved it despite everyone's scepticism), high frequency lighting which seemed more consistent, electrotherapy, and paved the way for many scientists in the areas of electrical frequency/vibration and electromagnetism. Nikola also teamed up with George Westinghouse, and argued over Thomas Edison that A.C should become standard over D.C due to cost and safety benefits. He won and A.C became, and still is the worldwide system used today. George Westinghouse bought the patent for the A.C system and paid Nikola $1 million dollars and a $1 horsepower royalty. With this money Nikola Tesla founded the Tesla Electric Company in New York. Nikola Tesla was too unrealistic to support himself financially, and when his lab burnt down, he was not insured and struggled to build a new one. He eventually moved to a lab in Colorado springs where he experimented with man-made lightning Nikola Tesla invented the first electric motor w
