The three qualities I have chosen are Athletic, Smart, and Serious. Athleticism comes from my Mothers side of the family. Intelligence comes from both sides of the family, and being serious comes from my Father's side of the family. As you can see the three qualities listed above are of which are inherited. Ever since I was five years old, I used to always carry around a basketball wherever I went. If it was just a little teddy ball, or a miniature size ball, I was always caught carrying it around the house like it was part of my body. When I turned seven years old, my mother wanted me to start playing recreational basketball. My first year, I became the M.V.P of the team. M.V.P is the most valuable player. A lot of the other guys on the team used to think I was a showboat, and I didn't want to pass them the ball. But it wasn't like that at all. I wanted to win every minute. Every second. The thought of victory ran through my mind constantly, and I figured I was the man to get the victory. As time went by, and I progressed in the sport, I started to think I was unstoppable, so I thought I would try another sport. So I went out for the pewee football team. I got straight A's all through Primary school and on up through Middle school. I am pushing to get this little three-page thing going, and I have cramps in all of my fingers. At the same time I still played basketball, and was very good at it. Being serious is important to some people in a sense they will never get run over or stepped on. I like to think of my being serious as a way to block out people when they are trying to get me to laugh or giggle at the wrong time. I can really go on and on about all sorts of stuff. But I want you to know who I am in a nutshell. Ever since the third grade where we used to play around the world with the math flash cards, on up to now in High School where you have a billion assignments all due in the same day from four different classes. I get side tracked very easy, and being serious is the only thing I have in my defense besides telling someone to go buzz of. When it comes to doing work I am very focused and lazy at the same time, so you could imagine how long it's taking me to write this essay. For some reason it all pans out and comes together upon how much attention you paid while in grade school. I was born in Alabama, but raised in New York, so the way the sport is played differs from other places.
