Capitol Punishment

xplains that the death penalty is more than a crime-reduction tool, it is a way of doing justice. It is entirely logical that in a criminal justice system where the punishments are in proportion to the crime, there is a supreme level of justice.
            
             The murderer has attacked society:
             § by refusing to abide by the law against murder, and
             § by depriving society of the life of the victim
             The murderer has attacked the family of the victim:
             § by shattering the family, and
             § by depriving the family of the future support, guidance, and love of the victim
             Still it is the murderer's rights that the system takes every reasonable care to protect. Yes, I agree: Continue to take every reasonable care, but when it is determined beyond a shadow of a doubt that the murderer is guilty, then finish the process...or there is no point to the process, and the whole system of law is an ineffective joke!
            
             It's sometimes thought to be politically correct to say things like:
             1. "Oh, our laws sometimes punish murderers with the death penalty...and it's not right to take a life."
             2. "We shouldn't execute a murderer because we'd be no better than them."
