Child Abuse

Sexual abuse involves forcing, tricking, bribing, threatening, or pressuring a child into sexual awareness or activity. Sexual abuse when an older or more knowledgeable child or an adult uses a child for sexual pleasure. The abuse often begins gradually and increases over time. It is always the offender that is 100% responsible for child sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse is never, not in whole or in part, the victims fault. informed consent is not possible at that age. Sexual abuse is an abuse of power over a child and a violation of a child's right to normal, healthy, trusting relationship. Most children cannot or do not tell about being sexually abused, it is up to the concerned adults to recognize signs of abuse. Physical evidence of abuse is rare. So if a child will not tell you about their problem you must look for signs. Unfortunately, there is no one behavior alone that definitely determines a child has been sexually abused. here are a few signs to tell if your child has been sexually abused:

Silence protects sexual offenders and hurt children who are being abused. It is estimated that the children with disabilities are 4 to 10 times more vulnerable to sexual abuse that their non-disabled peers. Silence is a major contributor to sexual abuse. Adults should teach children about sexual abuse in order to increase their awareness about this subject. It enables sexual abuse to continue. No child should have to feel uncomfortable around someone they love and have to go through something like this. Today there are many ways to help victims and their families, who are going through sexual abuse. Shame: About being involved on the experience or about their bodies' response to the abuse. The number of children who were seriously injured quadrupled from about 143,000 to nearly 570,000. Anger: At the abuser, the other adults around then who didn't protect them, and at themselves because they feel they caused some kind of trouble. Often children do not tell anyone about sexual abuse because they:a) worry about getting into trouble or getting a loved one into trouble. the rates of child sexual abuse increases by a lot each year. Confusion: Because they may still love the abuser or because their feelings change all the time. Girls are sexually abused three times more often than boysThe report estimated the number of abused and neglected children increased from 1.
