Indians and Farmers
Reservation Indians and frontier farmers were important to society during the late 19th century. Reservation Indians and frontier farmers are similar and different in various ways. However the Indians and farmers were important to animals and raising crops for survival. I believe without either of these groups the world would be totally different from the way it is today. The late 19th century had two groups of people who tried to survive the best way they could. The farmers and Indians both raised animals in order to survive. The farmers celebrate the fourth of July for their independence from the British. When fights broke out the Indians had their tomahawks and bow and arrows for their enemy while the farmers usually had the basic knives and simple guns. Both groups believe in the lord and are religious people. The women for both groups are very important to the children. The Indians would ride cattle throughout the grasslands and hills for transportation. However the Indians and frontier farmers are different as well. The Indians and farmers are also similar in the way they celebrate traditions. They liked to be on the Atlantic coast away from havoc from the Indians and other wars. The Indians and the farmers also are similar in the way they use their women. They are both respectful to each other and serve a great purpose on the land provided by the lord and they both make the best of the land and animals. The women also took care of the animals such as milking the cows and in some cases bathed them. If they saw a good animal to eat they wouldn't hesitate to kill it and cook over a warm fire. the animals and sell them for a good price or they would beef them up and eat them to fill their stomachs. The frontier farmers liked to raise their farm toward the ocean because the soil was much richer than out west.
