Friends to the End

             We all know some of the bad side effects of drinking. If you have too much to drink the night before, you are likely to wake up with a hang over. If you get caught driving drunk you will go to jail or worse you could have a car accident, killing someone else or yourself. There are a lot of alcoholics in this world and most are in denial. They deny it until they hurt someone close to them or until they are diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. Some alcoholics are abandoned by the people they love, so they need a friend. A friend should be someone you can count on all the time. They should be there when you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to listen to you. This is shown in Director George P. Cosmastos's film Tombstone. This film will show you the positive sides of friendship and the negative sides of drinking.
             Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp have a special relationship. Wyatt runs into Doc shortly after he arrives in town with his brothers, Virgil and Morgan. While Wyatt is pleased to see his old friend, his brothers are not. Doc Holliday is not liked by many people and he knows this. Doc saves Wyatt's life when they first see each other. Wyatt had just finished slapping John Tier around in a bar. John Tier was on his way to shoot Wyatt, when Doc said, "John Tier, where are you going with that shot gun." You could see the fear in John Tier eyes when he saw Doc Holliday. John Tier response was, "Doc Holliday, I didn't you were back in town.
             One night at the bar, where Wyatt and his brothers worked, and an altercation occurred between Doc Holliday and Johnny Ringo. Johnny Ringo was known to have the fastest draw in Tombstone. Wyatt intervened by saying, "he is drunk and doesn't know what he is saying." Johnny shows off his fancy gun play and Doc mocks him doing the same things he did; only he did it with a cup.
