             High School, College, and the Job Market
             A person who chooses to further their education tends to go further in life then one who just finishes high school and goes straight into the job market. Education these days is very important when looking for a job. Most employers look at education first, when looking at an application. When it comes down to it, a high school diploma versus a college degree, a college degree is more likely to get someone somewhere in life. Education is the main thing looked at on an application in the job market.
             According to the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, "Statistics gathered by the U.S. Census Bureau indicate that just one year of College enables an individual to earn more money each year than a person with four years of high school only." So even with just a year or two someone is going to be paid more money then if this person had just a high school diploma. Also, this person would be pleased that the decision made to go to college for a year or two and start college will pay off in the long run. Being paid more for just a few years of college is better then getting paid for just the four years completed in high school. It has been proven that one with a college degree versus a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED), that this person is going to earn more money. According to the U.S. Census Bureau in 1998 someone with out a high school diploma would earn near 20,110 dollars a year. One with a high school diploma would earn about 28,307 dollars a year. Someone with an Associate's degree would earn around 36,392 dollars a year. With a Bachelor's degree a person could earn 50,056 dollars a year. Someone with a Master's degree would earn right around 63,220 dollars a year (Accredited online colleges).
