Throughout mypaper I will focus on two major sports that African Americans made a impact on. I hope to give a betterunderstanding about the important role that black athletes played on breaking down racialbarriers and changing American history. Trackand field, and baseball will be my two major focuses for my paper. My paper will discuss the significanceand the positive affects that prominent black leaders engaged in to allow future AfricanAmericans equal rights to participate in sports. such as Jesse Owens and Jackie Robinson,they have open many doors for African Americans. I will also illustrate how AfricanAmerican's developed a sense of connection with their culture through sports and madeseveral sacrifices to show that all men and women are created equal.
