hter, Traci, born to them when T.J. was five years old and a son, Rick, when she was 10. T.J. had a lot of attention taken from her because her Traci had ADHD and demanded their mother's focus. She began to develop stomach ailments when in elementary school and the doctor suspected she had possible ulcers. The uncle was very demanding of T.J. expecting her to keep the house picked up and expected perfect behavior from her. He had on two occasions "hit her inadvertently" saying it was accidental but T.J. turned him in to DHS and he was required to attend anger management classes and is on the state registry for child abuse. The family is lead to believe to this day that T.J. was an instigator for turning him in and wanting to "cause trouble."
             In the interview Jan was presented with a list of signs and symptoms and asked if she could relate any to T.J. She says T.J. has acted superficially charming to get what she wants and indiscriminately affectionate toward unfamiliar adults. T.J. is very close with her boyfriend's family from the start and shows favoritism of his family over hers. She lacks genuine affection with her family. Jan says she has been very manipulative, argumentative and defiant, notably from the time she was 12 years old. She had been found in lies frequently, especially ones that she tries to cover up but the situation proves she did what she did. For instance, Jan has found condoms in her bedroom, but T.J. pretends she doesn't know how they got there and swears she hadn't had sex in their home. A book was found in her room at another time called "How to Kill Your Neighbor." Jan confronted her on it and T.J. made reference to Traci stating, "I hate her. I'm not just saying that. I REALLY HATE HER." She has been cruel to her sister and resentful of her especially since in the past T.J. had to "baby-sit" her on several occasions ...
