Body Art In Today's Society
Today piercing your body is becoming more and more common. Some people still have their reservations about putting holes in your body, but it is more widely accepted. The younger generations want a way to separate themselves from others and this is their way of expression. While older generations like parents see it as tacky and as just a fad that will pass. Much of the same is also said about tattoos. People in today's society that say body art and piercing is just a fad are just quick to shoot off their mouth about something they don't like. If they would study the past before opening their mouths they might just learn they are wrong. In many cultures piercing and tattoos are a sign of honor and royalty to show an individuals importance. This has been practiced for many centuries not just
And if you would take the time to learn more about it you would learn a lot about the people who do it and why they are doing it. More and more people with piercing will start appearing day by day. When people decide to get body art they want something that helps define their personality and put much thought into the process. But to the younger generation that isn't the case. Our parents always want us to grow up and be more responsible, but we won't learn unless we can make our own mistakes and learn from them. With the Eastern world is finally having its effects on the Western world and some people just aren't ready. The piercing idea is relatively new and just now starting to become popular among younger people. Our parents were young once and they did things they may regret now, but that is a lesson for us to learn for ourselves as a part of growing up. As for the style going away, that doesn't seem to be coming any time in the near future. After all isn't that part of becoming an adult, learning from your wrongs and becoming a better person because of them. in the past 10 to 15 years like in America. It is a way for us to express ourselves and show our individuality. Many people who have been pierced or tattooed haven't done it on the spur of the moment like many people think. In closing I just want to say to those who haven't yet accepted body art and piercing, you better get used to it because this is only the beginning.
