Child Abuse
Child abuse and neglect reports have more than doubled in the past two decades. Children are abused many different ways every day and many abuse and neglect cases go unreported every year. Some of the many ways children are the most commonly heard of ones: kicking, punching, and hitting. Some children also have to drink cleaning supplies, sleep in cold, dark basements, and go weeks without any food at all. However, all of the above may happen, and outsiders still would not report a suspicion of child abuse or neglect to anyone at all. The government comments, " The current rates of unfound reports go beyond anything that is reasonably needed. Worse, they endanger children who are really abused." Abuse cases that go unnoticed and unreported the child who is being abused then most likely dies due to maltreatment. The kinds of abuse endured by many children seem to vary according to statistics, the age and gender of the child, and the way the parents raise and treat their children. Physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and baby abuse are the main kinds of abuse. Physical abuse, intentionally harming a person's body, is the most heard of kind of abuse but is not most common. Physical abuse can range anywhere
Abuse of any kind can occur in any type of environment and any type of family, no matter where they live, race, financial stability, or their culture. The first strategy is, they must be comprehensive and integrating the contributions of social service, legal, law enforcement, health, mental health, and education professionals. One in every three girls and one in every eight boys under the age of eighteen, will be sexually abused and molested this year, not including those who will be kidnapped, or kicked out. The kinds of abuse, endured by many children seem to vary according to statistics, the age and gender of the child, and the way the parents raise and treat their children. Other ways of helping in prevention and intervention are Health Care Initiative, Community-Based Initiatives, Parent Education Programs, Workplace Initiatives, and Family-centered Welfare to Work Programs, Social Services, and Prevention in Schools. The effects of abuse are horrible especially for young children, after being abused for a period of time, a child of any age, will become, confused, violent, and doubted. Among such fundamental rights should one mention in this regard every human being's right to life and physical integrity from the moment of conception. However, just keep in mind that a child's life may be in your hands and you may be the only one that could help that child survive. The government, and the Catholic Church, both want to help the child be safe, however, their views and how the go about helping victims who have been abused and those who abused them, are very different. Sexual abuse, the most common and most heard of form of child abuse, is the taking advantage of a child's body sexually. Eighty, (80), percent of abuse and neglect cases are a result of drinking. Parents who abuse their children often use an excuse such as poverty, financial problems, stress, poor living conditions, or even something as small as a bad day.
