Trip to the Big Apple

             I often heard of the Big Apple, the "capital of the United States" well so I thought at one time. I have never been there and was very excited about the whole idea of going. What was I going to see? Will all the myths I heard about New York be true? I was about to find out and I could hardly wait.
             I got up early that calm Friday morning. The sun was shine, the birds were exercising there vocal chords and a nice breeze puffed across the yard. I looked at the time on my shiny sliver watch and saw that it was 5 am. It's time to roll! I ran out, got my bus to the subway station, got off the train and got on to a Greyhound bus to the big city.
             The bus ride started fine. I was looking out the window at all the snow covered trees, sugar dusted cars and icicle glazed bridges along the long interstate 95. It was so exciting to me. Nevertheless, many people were lost in slumber on the bus. We cleared Delaware - "The first state", as written on the tags of the cars in that state. I enjoy the game of state tags as I tried to see how many state representatives I can find on the way to New York. Now we are on the New Jersey turn pike and everything looks great, very familiar, but great. All the cars look the same as when we left, and its only for so long can I look at the same trees over and over again. It's been two hours since we left Washington D.C. and the novelty of the whole trip was quickly fading. My back was killing me and the bus was making these strange noises which were scaring the living daylights out of me. My eyes are getting heavy and my uncle's head ate his cat... oh sorry what did I just say? I must have dozed off a bit.
             With a long stretch and yawn, I woke up. Where are we now? We are not moving and I am seeing people getting off this bucket on wheels. At the beginning of the trip the bus was so comfortable. What happened? I am seeing buildings that dwarfe
