China
China has gone though a lot of cultural changes that were caused by revolutionary changes in the twentieth century. Because of this China and the United states have been able to gain a stronger relationship. In the following paragraphs I will explain Chinas culture and compare it to the United States culture. China is made up of fifty-five minority groups. Han Chinese is the most popular group. In China eleven out of twelve people are Han Chinese. In these groups many of them have their own language that they speak. Since the Cultural Revolution men and women are now considered equal. . . .
Although, men are still considered more valuable then women. Most of the couples hope for a boy to take on the family name and care for them when they get older. There are two articles regarding The People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Disabled Persons. They treat their people relatively fair as so do the United States. Chinese gender issues are similar to the United States all except for the one child policy. Johnson 2 Most Chinese people spend their whole life in one region. The United States also has laws dealing with disabilities so they have equal rights. Racial discrimination isn’t a big deal in China. Although I do think that the Chinese government has restrictions on what they let the people talk about. The second article states that disabled are some one who has a problem with vision, hearing, speech or other physical disabilities. The United States also has laws trying to prevent this discrimination. Due to having so many racial groups in the United States racial discrimination is more of a problem. If they don’t have a boy they will often give the girl up for adoption and try again for a boy. They wont let the Chinese people talk about the government in bad ways. There are laws that exist in China to stop racial discrimination; they are not effective because of the economic status of the typical Chinese person.
