Church Project
On Saturday September Twenty Second I attended a mass at Saint is located in the down area of Saint Mary's Pennsylvania. The church is connected to a convent with a local elementary school across the street. It stands to be the biggest and oldest church in Saint Mary's. Saint Mary's was the first Catholic Church established in the new found community. German settlers that established homes in the Saint Mary's area created the church. The German parishioners are the people responsible for establishing the church in 1852. But the town was very segregated between the Germans and the Irish. The Irish decided to establish there own Catholic Church, which is, called Sacred Heart Church. The church is located less that a block from the Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Both churches have nicknames and they are the "Irish Church" and the "German Church". I took a look at both churches and found them to be very similar in how they are constructed. But I only attend mass at the German Church (Saint Mary's Catholic Church). The Church is still well known as it old nickname and that people still recognize it as the oldest standing church in St. Mary's. The church does not look the same as it did when it was o

I asked the question to a few people that I was talking to about how they view the church as fundamentalists, as a conservative, or as the liberal. The basic structure of the church is still there but many things have been added. The clergy and the staff at the church are great and will take the time out of their schedule to help you. By including the parishioner's livelihood in the church, the church is saying it respects the city's values and wants the citizens to be part of the church. There are two other churches in the city that is denomination and there is one that is nondenominational. They seemed to show interest that I was studying religion. The church can not really be defined as a trait the parishioners make up the church like we make up the United States. After talking to father for a while and having Mary show me around and answer some of my questions I found the information that I needed for this paper. He was real friendly and talked to anyone who had a few quick questions. The pope is the one that said that the parishes should include everyone and not use the forgotten tongue. These four oak doors are made the same as the exterior doors but the middle of these doors contains a pain glass window. We into the church and walked up to the altar and she showed me some things that she thought would help me with my research paper. She said that the graphite crosses server a deeper purpose that what somebody might think.
