College Essay
There are not any extracurricular activities, which I have to done, that have such a challenge. But after my first year of biology in the 9th grade year, I decided to take AP Biology the next year. Because the teacher did not think that I was not capable of taking this class, he did not sign me up for that class. Therefore my hardheaded self decided to talk to my parents and get a waiver to take that class. I thought that an AP class couldn't be that harder than the regular, so I got into the class. When I got in my first AP class, I realized that I was one of three sophomores in a class of senior and some juniors. The class really int
In my junior year, I took AP Chemistry and did a fairly good job in that class and got college credited. I don't think I would do anything different. I felt lonely and very stupid i!n that class. I worked harder and studied hard for biology and didn't care about the rest. My other two classmates were really very smart and handled the class with a breeze. Because the class intimidated me, I did a bad job overall in my second year of high school. That class has encouraged me take more AP classes and not to back down from intimidation. I felt out of place because I was a 10th grader taking a college level class and was the only one not doing an average job in that class. I would stay focused in the class from the beginning and not take AP classes very lightly, they are what they sound college level classes. There is no doubt that if I had to face this challenge again, I would not back down in taking this class over again. This year also, I decided to take four other AP classes. The reason for this is because if it were not for my first AP class experience, I would not be taking a lot if any AP classes during my high school career. Because they were doing well, I felt bad and uncomfortable in that class.
