             Various physical and human factors were chosen for data collection and analysed below.
             As predicted, the variety and quantity of services are better in Addiscombe reiterating my prediction since it is closer to the Croydon City Centre.
             Data was collected on various types of services for both suburbs and tabulated. I can see that Addiscombe has a larger variety of services than Sanderstead, (Graph 1, Addiscombe=63 and Sanderstead=43), confirming my prediction since Addiscombe has a broader population of social status and age, (pictures 14, 23, 24), reflecting the demand.
             Both suburbs have some services or shops present which are absent in the other suburb as seen on Table 1, e.g. there are far more newsagents in Sanderstead than in Addiscombe and vice versa in the cases of food and clothes shops. This may suggest a denser population in Addiscombe as compared to Sanderstead. It is interesting to note the presence of 8 health and beauty shops in Sanderstead and 4 in Addiscombe giving me the impression that the standard of living or the wealth of people in Sanderstead is higher than that in Addiscombe.
             Another striking feature is the presence of three parks in Sanderstead and none in Addiscombe suggesting the demand for land for residential purposes being greater in Addiscombe than in Sanderstead due to the larger density of population. The difference in greenery is seen in pictures 1 and 2 (www.multimap.com). When compared, they show more greenery and less housing per square kilometre in Sanderstead than in Addiscombe.
             Different services were categorised into 8 basic sections, (Graphs 2 and 3 which show people and convenience, entertainment and holiday, money, residential, food, health, education and home and transport). From looking at the two graphs, I can compare the categories for each suburb, showing different demands.
