Compare and Contrast

             During one point or another throughout a person's life they play the role of consumer. Playing the role of a consumer appears easy however; a careful consumer considers every possibility the items they plan to purchase offer. For example, when deciding between apples and oranges consumers compare their similarities and differences; how they look, how they feel, and how they taste.
             When consumers see apples and oranges, they take color, size, shape, and texture into consideration. Undoubtedly, colors vary between these two fruits; apples possess a multitude of colors; whereas, oranges maintain a constant hue: orange. Moreover, consumers consider the sizes of apples and oranges: apples appear smaller; oranges look larger. Although these two fruits share many differences, similarities emerge when consumers visually compare their shapes. Furthermore, the smooth texture of apples and the rough texture of oranges play an important role in the consumer's decision.
             The appearances of apples and oranges effect a consumer's decision on whether or not to purchase the fruits. Moreover, these differences in texture surface as one feels an apple or an orange. When handling these fruits, consumers easily differentiate between the apple's smooth surface and the orange's rough surface. Besides the differences in their surface, these fruits vary in their densities: apples feel denser than oranges. As a result of these outer differences, one distinguishes the variations in apples and oranges' touch.
             The differences in these two fruits intensify when consumers taste them. For example, one bits an apple and tastes a crisp, sweet flavor; whereas, biting into an orange, gives one a sour stringy taste. Also evident in the flavor of these two fruits, the amount of juice produced by the apple; limited, while the orange; abundant, plays an important role in the satisfaction of the consumers' taste.
