Women in Hinduism
Everyone living on this world have their own way of believing in a god. Hinduism is a way of life, rather than a religion. It consists of many principles and beliefs, that come together to be Hinduism. The Hindu culture is a very complex culture, which combines rich ethnical and normal beliefs. The view of Hindu culture from the outside as a group or as a society is very much dependable upon our own beliefs and good deeds you do in your life but some say it's too mythical and old to belief. These beliefs play a big important role in a person's everyday life, and influence aspects of their religion and social structure. After visiting the Durga Temple. I was able to understand little more about the Hindu Religion and the way of believing or treating women. The Durga Temple is a very interesting place to visit. I was shocked when I heard Hindu's believe 333 million gods. So my friends, and I decided to get together and go visit the Durga Temple. I was looking forwa
There was the elephant, monkey, a female form with many hands and many more gods. After visiting the Durga Temple, gave me a better understanding of how Hindu women are treated by men and also made me look at that Hinduism in a different way. All of these beliefs are important to each religion in there own way. However, other societies viewed women as the least significant figures, and denied them of all rights. After little while, we got up and went up to the female god Laxami and started performing the prayer by ringing the bell with the silver plate. There were two men performing their prayers. Each religion has way of believing in god and spiritual beliefs. Once we entered the temple, there were many items set on the table for sale. That's what makes each religion individual and special. The Hindu society had a different role for women. That had affected our religion today greatly in various ways. They are expected to keep their family especially their husbands happy at all times. Unfortunately, we did not observe any prayers of women being performed there. The other men started his prayer by pouring the water on kali ma, one of the gods, and took some type of color and put on his forehead. The "offspring, religious rites, faithful service, highest conjugal happiness and heavenly bliss for the ancestors and oneself, depend on one's wife alone".
