Hamlet’s Ghost brought on By His Uncle

Shakespeare’s Hamlet is a penetrating portrayal of a young man overcome with rage brought by his uncle. This deep hate for his uncle along with his inability to forgive his mother, and the betrayal of his friends leads to Hamlet’s destruction. It was two months after Hamlet’s father has passed away in the beginning of the play. Hamlet had a lot of stress on him like missed his father, then his mother marries hamlet uncle Claudius, and Ophelia was confused about trying to be with him and do what her brother Laertes and her father Polonius wanted. The ghost first appeared when the night shift guards were coming on duty for the night the first one to see the ghost were Marecellus and Bernardo, the ghost was dressed in his armor looked like the dead King Hamlet when he fought battle with old Fortinbras. (Act 1 Scene 1). They try to talk to the ghost but the ghost will not respond to them. The ghost asks for Hamlet to swear to take revenge for his father’s wrongful death. Hamlet ask who done this to his father and his father respond about the man that wears the crown. The ghost in this play played a major part in this play.

Hamlet through out the play is trying to figure out a way to get back at his uncle for his crimes. Hamlet was still trying to figure these things out but he could never under why his mother was so eager to marry Claudius so quickly. Shakespeare was very talented in giving his audience what they wanted to see and the way the wanted to see.

Shakespeare use of ghost lets us know that he was telling us that he was planning for someone to get revenge on someone else. Hamlet is confused about his mother. Hamlet sees the ghost in the closet scene where his mother really thinks Hamlet is mad by talking to things that isn’t here because she can’t see the ghost. The whole town took a day or two off from their chores and their work just to come down to the globe and sit or stand to watch his plays. He doesn’t know is she played a part in his father death or that she wasn’t aware of it. In the 1600 people believe that ghost were real and that mean that the ghost of a person was trapped and couldn’t go to there holy destination because something was holding them behind.
