Thomas Stearns or T.S. Eliot was one of the most distinguished literary figures of the twentieth century. He was an American-English poet, playwright, and literary critic, a leader of the modernist movement in literature. Eliot was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1948. His most famous work is The Waste Land, written when he was thirty four years old. He wrote a lot of articles and reviews in his life. In the 60 years from 1905 to his death, Eliot published some 600 articles and reviews. T.S. In 1927 Eliot became a British citizen and member of the Church of 2England. He later wrote criticisms to support Christian culture against what he saw as the empty values of secularism. In his years he wrote over six hundred 4articles and criticisms. He was an American-English critic, a playwright, and a critic.
