Not a single study has found a difference between children of gay and straight parents that you can construe as harmful. Bush’s call to cut gays out of their Constitutional right will turn out to be a defining issue of the presidential campaign; although, it could turn out to be something much more important in the long era of history. What’s important is the perception; few Americans like to think of themselves as unfair-minded bigots who would set discrimination in stone. Whether or not any of that is true is another question; whether or not it is true matters little.
