Being unfair and deceitful to Esau, Esau agreed to sell his birthright, just because he was terribly hungry, and Jacob gave him a nice bowl of his soup. For if Esau wasn’t desperately, would Esau have given Jacob his birthright? Another lie in this story was Rebecca dressed Jacob in Esau clothes and made Isaac think that is was Esau just to give Jacob the birthright. And because Esau was very hairy, she covered Jacob’s neck and arms with hair because Esau was hairy and sent Jacob to Isaac. Esau immediately asked Jacob for some stew. These lies led to one big consequence. Now Rebecca loved Jacob more and wanted Jacob to have the birthrights instead of Esau. Esau promised Jacob the birthright, but Esau wanted it back and was so angry that he wanted to kill Jacob. The consequences were so severe that Jacob’s life was threatened.
