Love story
             I have read, heard, seen and watched a lot of romantic love stories, but none of them is more impressive of American novelist Erich Segal.
             I cried twice while reading the novel. The first time was when Jenny replied "love means never having to say that you are sorry" after Oliver apologized to Jenny for quarrelling with her. The second moving and sentimental scene that made me cry was that Oliver held Jenny tightly as she required and then Jenny closed her eyes in Oliver's warm arms.
             The unexpected sad ending makes the novel enduring. None of us do not hope Jenny and Oliver will live happily to a ripe old age. Such an ending leaves readers a lasting impression. Only after we lose it do we realize the value of something that we had. Love Story provides us with such a vivid experience of losing true love. It tells us to cherish the love we own. Especially to those whose marriage is on the verge of breach, the struggling couple, Jenny and Oliver, set a good example.
             The character who impresses me most in the story is the heroine---Jenny. The first impression she makes on me is that she is a determined, diligent, independent, optimistic and simple girl. Born into a poor Italian immigration family, she learned to work hard and not to give in. Although her father was a baker in a small town, she did not take it as a shame. Instead, she respected her father and felt pride in his job. She told everything about her life and family to Oliver honestly, which shows she never felt self-abased though she was inferior to Oliver in terms of economic position. Facing Oliver's arrogant parents and their luxurious house, Jenny behaved herself perfectly. She tells us human dignity is more important than money. Facing Oliver's parents' rejection of t heir marriage, Jenny did not give up, instead, she continued to pursue her true love. We learn that true love can not be...
