Watching the life of my father
Life is not always pleasant nor kind and gentle to us. It is filled with mysteries and unanswered questions that haunt us from day to day. In fact, life can be very awful and complicating for many individual mortal who suffer during odd circumstances. For example, the decisions that we are forced to make in life are sometimes beyond our control. This is what makes life so very cruel and unjustifying because of its complexity. Life can also be depicted from the pressure felt by George Orwell. Trying to kill the elephant may be an undersized painful tragedy, and by looking at the elephant, there nothing he could do but watch the elephant suffer slowly in pain, and let the Burmese take over the elephant. As being a police officer in Burma he had little or no control but being hated. (Twenty-Five Great Essays, "Shooting an Elephant" by Orwell, pg. 142-149). Sometimes we are not in control of our decisions. Instead, they are made by others who seek to control us. Under pressure from the raging crowd, I would've been forced to take action as Orwell did. I would have killed the elephant, but to see the elephant suffer is unbearable. To hear the bullet as it whistle through the air and came into contact with flesh is dreadf
My father was an American soldier who fought in the Secret War in Vietnam. I grabbed my father, looked helplessly as his face was getting paler and his lip bluer, shaking as the leaves in the wind. In addition, my father was once poisoned by his first wife, an unrespectful shrew of a woman. In missing her boyfriend so much she decided to poison my father by putting opium into the food she cooked for my father after his long hard works at the farm. Seeing loved ones suffer can be very difficult, we also had bear the pain that they are having too. A hour later a nurse came to us and said "Your father is doing better now. Life, the other part of it that all of us wish never to take part in can often take us by surprise. Now we could only pray, and let doctors do their job. As mortals we can only live but no one can not predict the future ahead or seeing what's going to happen in the future. Suddenly, I heard a loud noisy knock on my door. We never thought his disease would accrue at this age, we even forgot about the past. From what I experience with my father I had learn to be strong and had faith within me that miracle could happen but to certain people. As life goes on, everyone want to live normal, and carefree lives. Sometime he got better after using the inhaler, but sometime nothing happen.
