If you are deciding on summer vacation destination, the Big Red Boat cruise that Disney offers is a great way to get away from it all. The cruise takes you to Nassau in the Bahamas and when you are there, you will have no idea how this trip will be forever etched in your mind as one of the great getaway vacations of your life.
             The large cruise ship sets sail from Florida on a two and a half day trip taking you to the tiny islands in the Bahamas. When you arrive in Nassau, a smaller tour boat can shuttle you over to any one of the islands of your choice. As you approach the island, you are awestruck by its beauty. Palm trees as far as the eyes can see swaying in the ocean breeze. White sandy beaches with the sound of waves crashing on the gentle shores offers you a soothing sound as you get ready to dock. Two natives dressed in brightly colored tropical shirts, white pants and shoes greet you at the dock wearing smiles just as bright. They escort you to an open-air type restaurant with a thatched roof that was actually attached to the pier at which we docked. The restaurant has a casual, relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable. Everyone is dressed in tropical shirts and had an easy-going lifestyle. The servers are very courteous and friendly and make you feel right at home. Various sizes of Tiki statues are placed throughout the dining area as well as torches that give you a nice warm light. The food was served buffet style, with an elegant array of Bahamian and American cuisine. The locals provided entertainment
             during and after the buffet with a mix of barrel drums and singing.
