Reasons to be beautiful
There was a boy/a very strange/enchanted boy/they say he wandered very far,very far/over land and sea/a little shy and sad of eye/but very wise was he." This boy, who had no more than eighteen years, was born in a wealthy family. His name was Thom. His mother and father had died when Thom was only a baby, leaving him alone, only raised by an aunt. In spite of his misfortune, Thom had a lot of qualities; he was bright, had a good heart, and he always knew how to make himself helpful. But, one thing Thom did not have: beauty. He was hideous. This was the result of an evil Fatal Sister, who had cursed him at birth to be very bright and in the same time very ugly, and to become beautiful only when a princess from a distant kingdom would fall in love with him. Only his parents knew this secret, but they were no longer alive in order to reveal it to him.One day, while he was reading, Thom found in the book an epistle. He oppened it carefully and started to read outloud:"Our dearest Thom. If you have found this letter it means that we are no longer alive. We must reveal you an awful secret. All the men there started to waver, and they ended by leaving the castle in a hurry inventing all kinds of silly reasons. "Maybe this is our chance" said Anna. She yelled at him: "What are you doing here? Can`t you see that everyone else has left? Go away, just by looking at me you are mocking me. I was so beautiful back then, but this puck saw me and she told me that no human being deserved to be more beautiful then she was, and in a second she turned me into the hideous thing that i am now". "You know", said the princess, "you know why i am so ugly?" "One day, while i was walking in the forest of this castle, i met a puck. "She told me that if a man would have the power to love me the way i am, i will turn back into the beautiful person that i once was".
