Content's of a Dead Man's Pockets Literature Essay
             Imagine a low paid guy named Tom with a wife that likes to go out and in this time money is probably whole life. Well at least in Toms situation were he's tempted to go over extreme obstacles just so he can get paid a bit extra by turning in the paper. Tom gets a lot of information to make a grocery ad that can tremendously change his company's profit. Suddenly disaster happened, his paper flies out the window. This changes the tone of the story. Tom thinks to himself whether or not to risk his life for a paper that's probably going to lead to other opportunities. While thinking of getting the paper or just leaving it and going with his wife to catch a movie the author creates even more suspense by waiting for his decision. He decides to take a big risk and goes for the paper. The author even makes it more suspenseful by slowing down time and the anticipation is tremendous. Coming to his senses he gives the fight up for the paper and goes to his wife laughing at the situation he was in.
             The Story begins with an average guy with a kind of average job. This guy named Tom is going to make a grocery store ad for his company, but this isn't your ordinary ad this can make him and his company money. Tom gets information from all sorts of sources like other grocery, customers, and counted people who passed certain displays. Meanwhile his wife is getting ready to go to the movies, while Tom decides whether to make the grocery ad or go with his wife. He tells his wife,"have a good time", he walks her out and a gust of wind comes into the apartment. He hears the ruffling of the paper he goes to look at it and the rest of the papers fall on the floor, but the one that he wrote all his information on, that took hours together. Flies out the window, he quickly checks to see if it was still there, but he barely sees it because it is flying or scudding against the w
