What it means to me to be an American is a great feeling. I feel as though other
             people around the world aren't as lucky as me and other Americans that live in the U.S.
             We have freedom and opportunities while in other countries there's much more rules to
             go by which in many cases is no freedom at all. Were talking about freedom of speech,
             freedom of doing anything you want, freedom of showing people anything you want to
             show. We have the right of doing whatever we want but we also have the consequences
             of actions. For example you can steal a bank but the consequence is going to jail. Being
             an American is a feeling that amazes me in such ways. I feel like were all united no
             matter what happens. We stick thru thick and thin but most of all were all there helping
             and supporting one another. Being an American is having the advantages of good jobs,
             living in good environments, source of food, basically living better lives then others that
             may live in poverty in different countries around the world. We have shelters for the
             homeless, which provides them with food, clothing and a bed to sleep in. No matter in
             what situation we may be it's as though were never alone in this world because we have
             people that care no matter who you are to them, whether you know them or not, we do
             know to respect and treat them the same.
             Being an American also means I can live in an environment that doesn't have ethnic
             cleansing as for example what is happening in the Middle Eastern today or such as the
             fighting between different religions like in Northern Ireland.
             In America you aren't restricted on dreams you have as in other countries you have to go
             by their ruling systems and do what your told. Here in the U.S.A you can make your
             dreams a reality. You can become anything you want and have much success in life with
             no one interfering and overpowering
