Is U.S. still a well – respected country?

             Is U.S. still a well – respected country?
             America lost its reputation and its admirable name among other nations because it does not listen or care about what other nations have to say, it treats other nations and their people disrespectfully, and it is indifferent to people who are suffering of senseless wars made by America, which create hatred among many other nations towards U.S. I will support this point of view from my own knowledge and from Theodore Sorenson's speech "War and Terrorism".
             For many years United States has been known for its noteworthy reputation because U.S respected others. U.S always tried to help other nations and tried to make peace wherever it was possible. As Theodore Sorensen mentioned in his speech "War and Terrorism": "We were respected, not reviled, because we respected man's aspiration for peace and justice"
             (Sorensen 1). During the war between Bosnia and Yugoslavia when Milosevic, very corrupt and cruel person who killed thousands of innocent people was in charge of Yugoslavia U.S had to go in and defend Bosnia because no one else would. U.S was there to protect Bosnia and stop the man slaughtering so these people could have their freedom back. This is one of the many reasons why U.S was so well respected among other nations- it was willing to help and defend countries that could not defend themselves. U.S was a big brother to all the smaller and weaker countries that could no defeat the enemy by themselves. It was one of the most appreciated countries in the
             world to whom most others looked up. U.S had a lot of friends and a lot of support since others knew that U.S respects them and their people as much as they respect U.S. As Sorenson
