Hal urban's statement on attitudes
The statement I read on Hal Urban's ideas was very true. I believe our attitudes tell a lot about us too. Like when a person goes up to me and says something rudely, I will hesitate to respond. That person will not get the same respect as if we would've been nice. Another idea that I agree with in the statement is the one that says "our attitudes makes us rich or poor". This idea is very accurate because if you give an employer a bad attitude, you will not get the job. By treating people nicely, or at least pretend to, you will succeed in your life. For example, I used to now this guy, he played soccer in Mexico. He never even dreamed of coming to t
At this time he didn't know anything about the news, so they hired him as a weather man, a much better job than playing soccer. When he got here, he played soccer and didn't stray away from his focus. he United States, but showing the right attitude, and giving 110%, somebody recruited him to a soccer team in the US. As time passed, he got more and more experience, and with his great attitude he got himself noticed. The news people gave him the anchor job. Of course our attitudes are us, who else would it be? I think the author was just a little tired and just wanted to finish his little statement quickly. One part that I didn't like about Hal Urban's ideas is when he said, "we are our attitudes, and our attitudes are us". Like I may see some guy's mom yelling at him and think that she is bitter, but once I get to know her she could be the nicest person. To resume what I think of Hal's ideas, a good attitude can get you far in life, but misjudging people can also deprive you of an honorable life. I'm not trying to say his last idea cannot be taken in a good way; it's just one man's opinion. I mean you could say that we are labeled for our attitudes towards people, but not that we are our attitudes. Just because you see someone grouchy doesn't mean that they are not kind.
