Sigmund Freud

             My name is Sigmund Freud. I was born on May 6th 1856 in a quaint town named Freiberg located in Moravia (FreudFile). Both my mother and father were good hardworking people. I moved to Vienna when I was only a toddler. This is where I grew up and spent my great childhood with my eight other siblings. I was always known as one of the smarter kids, always ahead of my studies and always bringing back excellent reports in school. When it was time for me to choose a career, my choices were narrowed down because of my Jewish heritage (McGraw-Hill). I chose to pursue the medical career I was interested in.
             I attended the University of Vienna in which I was under the direction of Ernst Brucke. He believed that no other forces than the common physical-chemical ones are active within the organism which basically is against the theory of Id, Ego, & Superego that I later worked on. I spent too much time and effort trying to reduce personality to neurology but I did not believe in this. During my stay at the University of Vienna, I became an expert at neurophysiology. I also invented a cell staining technique by my self. Afterwards, I was looking to get a grant with a famous psychiatrist named Charot in France, positions were limited but with the help of Brucke I managed to get it and afterwards I also got a grant to study with one my rivals named Bernheim.
             After my studies with these fine men I spent a small amount of time as a resident in neurology and after that a director of a children's ward in Berlin. Both those jobs were fine but I was more into working in my own environment and on my own time, and I could not stand people who stand in my way when I'm trying to do something productive.
