Sociopaths

             Conniving; arrogant; detrimental; do you know someone who fits into those personality traits, if so I advise you to stay as far away from them as possible. Those adjectives are all distinctive characteristics of sociopaths. Not many people would deem being a sociopath as a flattering remark; in fact, I am sure no one would. Sociopaths are egotistical, self-centered, and live for the moment, deceitful people. They care about one thing and one thing only, themselves. Sociopaths are constantly in the pursuit of immediate personal gratification and will hurt anyone or thing that stands in the way of their happiness. "Out of sight, out of mind" is many sociopaths motto when it comes to relationships. They could careless how their behaviors affect others as long as they achieve their desired outcome. I am reluctant to say that I am familiar with someone who fits into this category of people.
             The person which whom I am familiar with, who we can call "Bob" to keep their identity anonymous, fits quite clearly into the category of a sociopath. Bob is a selfish, out for himself regardless of others, manipulative, and demeaning person. There have been many instances where Bob has completely disregarded the feelings of others, including his girlfriend, who for some reason continually stays with him no matter how bad he treats her, while in pursuit of what he wants. Although Bob does have a relationship, which is normally not the case for many sociopaths, he is far from being the ideal boyfriend. He constantly talks down to his girlfriend, comments on her every move, and continually makes her feel self-conscious and not good enough for him in front of others. However, his insurmountable charm keeps her coming back no matter what the situation may be. Bob is a manipulative, well-spoken person, which allows him to convince others in helping him in his pursuit of pleasure, or whatever it is, he may want at that specific moment...
