Anna Quindlen

Anna Quindlen is a renowned columnist from the Newsweek magazine. She is very well known by her articles as well as being a feminist; Quindlen has an effective writing style, and uses a lot of components to make it effective. We are going to be analyzing three of them: allusions, sarcasm, and the interrogation points used by the columnist.
Reading Anna Quindlen's articles I observed the use of two or three allusions in every article she wrote. All of them are opulent in details and support. The best example I can possibly mention is in the article "Mortal Kombat, election level" Anna Quindlen starts: Civilian beheadings or the future of Dan Rather," then she follows "... let's see, which one should head the news?" A perfect example of the type of irony uses by the columnist, in this case, talking about Iraq.
