Kurt Cobain

             "I'm so tired I can't sleep". Kurt Donald Cobain was born on February in 1962. I am going to cover three areas of Kurt's life; his childhood, his rise to fame, and his tradject death. Kurt grew up in a mid sized town about 80 miles away from Seattle. He was raised in a mid-class area. He had a very happy childhood. He was very close with parents and had many friends around the neighborhood. During his childhood Kurt had a problem with being what was considered a "hyperactive child". The doctors gave him drugs to help him concentrate better in school. This was a morphine base drug however, which might explain his addictions later on. The drug, however, would keep him awake until three or four in the morning. The doctors then prescribed him sedatives to help him sleep at night.
             Kurt's life started to fall apart around the age of seven when his parents divorced. This was considered a very ordinary divorce, but Kurt got very upset about it. It hurt him in all the worst ways. The hyperactive boy started to become shy and difficult to get along with. He had been moving back and forth with his parents. In the end his parent just couldn't deal with him, and sent him to some relatives. This period of time was reflected in the song "Silver and Serve the Servants." The song told about how his own parents hated him, and he felt no one loved him any more.
             Kurt didn't like school, he felt lonely and sad. The only things he really like to do was paint in art class and sing in the choir. The other boys in his class were more into sports like football and basketball. "Kurt, although, did get along with all the girls, and always spending time with them." Some of the guys at school would try to hang out with him, to get closer to some of the girls. Kurt hated the guys who tried to do that. Kurt later told newspapers that he felt more like girl than boy. ...
