An Impacting ExperienceMy heart is filled with joy and excitement as I watch the children on the playground. They swing and go round and round on the merry go round. Rising top to bottom on the see saw, up and down, up and down. Suddenly I notice one particular child that is sitting on the bench by herself. I walk over and ask why aren’t you playing with other kids? She responds nobody likes me. So I decide to gather all the kids together and play a game. As we continued further into the game I saw the child’s spirit rise. She began to interact with the rest of the children. It brought a smile to my face to see that she felt the camaraderie of her surroundings and to know that I helped make her feel a . . .
This experience has also made a big impact on my life. I want to assist children in abusive and needy situations. It’s also a reminder that I can make a difference and I have the ability to turn a bad situation into a good situation. One being that the experience told me a lot about myself. I’m a kid at heart in which children tend to elevate to. It has not only shown me but others that I possess a special gift when it comes to children. I like to look out for others to their benefits.
