Why is it that Americans are given every right at the age of 18 but cant be trusted in the least bit with an alcoholic beverage until they reach the age of 21? The government finds America's youth so immature that they cant drink even a drop of alcohol but they can go off and fight for their country and die. One of the good things about the drinking age being 21 is that adults have three more years to mature. It's only about the amount of consumption. Yet the fact that a legal adult cant drink for another three years is baffling. The dangers with alcohol are indeed a major issue but the NYRA, (National Youth Rights Association), doesn't realize that no matter how much higher the drinking age gets the cause of deaths with drunk drivers is just going to vary within that range of people that can drink. Alcohol is just as much dangerous for a 21 year old as is a 40 year old. Yet a human matures more and more without their whole life. If children are slowly introduced to alcohol at a younger age, then the United States could over come some of the major drinking problems with its youth. being able to marry, and going off to war. Perhaps if instead alcohol being introduced in high school and college dangerously where innocent girls can get raped while being intoxicated, parents could teach their children their limits and all the wrong things with alcohol just like Sex Education.
