Throughout history, the world has gradually been pushing its way out of chaos and into the civilized world. Beginning with the cave dwellers, where life itself was chaos with no civilization, to modern day when we have chaotic times in an otherwise civilized society; we have come a long way. Several examples of chaos can be found in recent world events. The 9/11 disaster was arguably one of the most devastating events that has ever happened to the United States. The war in Iraq was another chaotic incident that is continuing to take lives of U.S. and foreign armed forces. The world super powers, such as the U.S. and Great Britain, have soldiers in Iraq, fighting the war against terrorism. Another major catastrophe is the tsunami that hit Sri Lanka and surrounding areas. The tsunami killed more than 150,000 people, and other nations have stepped up to help restore the order in the country and give financial aid to them. Good writers throughout history have always used chaos and conflict to draw the readers' interest, because no mater what, readers will always be able to relate these aspects of great writing to their present condition. The famous playwright, William Shakespeare, was able to write one of his most enthralling plays,

Luckily, Kino realizes that it is too little for the pearl and does not sell. The tsunami set up the perfect distraction for looters to run about in the wreckage, taking whatever they could find. A scorpion stings his son and the doctor refuses to treat him because they lack the ability to pay him. Only future generations will be able to handle these problems. In the world today, people have committed terrible crimes against society, and we have been the recipients of disasters, both man-made and natural. Romeo's chaotic life continues when he receives news that Juliet died. Floridians helped each other to rebuild in the wake of the disaster. Although these natural and man-made disasters have hit the world hard, people are always stepping up to the occasion and putting forward whatever they can in order to help. He believes that she is actually dead, when she is actually carrying out a plan to be with him. This act put the United States into a disorderly period, but it also showed the humanity and patriotism of our country. Later in the book, the villagers burn down Kino's house in a fit of rage. Although the world progressed through uncivilized periods of its history, time can only tell how long it will be until we are faced with another chaotic period. Wanting to resolve the conflict, Romeo moves Mercutio's defending sword so that he cannot parry Tybalt's attack. Not only did the tsunami ravage whole countries, but it brought along different diseases that are passed through contaminated water and air. However, once the doctor hears that Kino has the priceless pearl, he goes to Kino's house in hopes of getting it.
