             In today's society auto accidents are abundant, yet there are only now being more reported cases of frontal lobe injuries that are linked to auto accidents. A 5 mile an hour impact can cause a frontal lobe injury. The frontal lobes are very susceptible to traumatic injury due to their position in the brain. A blow from the front, back or side of the head can result in a frontal lobe injury. Even a whiplash type injury without an actual blow to the head may result in bruising of the forebrain. Since the mid part of last century, personality and behavior disorders have been described following frontal lobe lesions, but it is remarkable how clinically these conditions often go undetected, and how the relevance of frontal lobe disorders has been neglected.
