             The Lord Of The Rings : The Two Towers and Smallville: Teen Superman Series
             It is quite obvious the programs featured through our various vehicles of mass media could influence lives in both a positive and negative way. A family from another planet might feel confused when first introduced to the propaganda we feed our people. As I use the television series/drama Smallville and the worldwide phenomena motion picture Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers. I will contrast the love and violence used in these two texts. We will try to answer the question: what is it that makes us human?
             I would first like to address one of my favourite movies of all time Lord Of The Rings : The Two Towers. In The Two Towers: The evil Army of Isenguard led by the White Wizard Saruman intends to conquer all the land of Middle Earth, but first he must destroy the world of men (great enemies of the evil) and takeover their strongholds.
             Saruman has decided to first attack one of the greatest strongholds of man: The Kingdom of Rohan, land of the horse-lords (great warriors on horses), and begin to burn and takeover the outer lands: The Westfold. At the capital city of Edoras, in his castle the king of Rohan: Theoden, is met by four mighty warriors from the North:
             Aragorn, son of Arathorn, a man of the chief stronghold: Gondor, a mighty swordsman, a lost king of men.
             Legolas, son of Thranduil, one of the most powerful Elves in Middle Earth, not only highly skilled in both sword and bow but also a prince of the forest realm: Mirkwood.
             Gimli, son of Gloin, a strong willed dwarf out of the Misty Mountains, and a powerful wielder of the axe.
             Gandalf The Grey, a mighty wizard of the forces of good, from where he came is unknown but he is a friend and wields both staff and sword in the name of good.
