Conflict between diet and eating

             Throughout the years, the mass media has influenced Americans to be ideal Americans. We are pressured to be what we are not, especially females. The ideal image of a female must be tall, sexy, glamorous, and light weighted. Males are luckier than females. They are not affected by this as much as females are. However, males, on the other hand, are also pressured to be tall, fit, and muscular. While at the same time, we are also pressured to eat irresistible, but unhealthy food by the commercials on television, by the colorful advertisements surrounding us, and by the huge billboards on buildings. All these advertisements are tempting us to eat. As a result, our society puts us in a difficult position where we are battling to stay fit while at the same time trying to resist the temptations to eat more food as shown on television, radio, billboard, and magazine advertisements.
             The mass media has been providing an unhealthy image of female beauty standard. Females always think that they are supposed to be ideal. They look into the mirror and consider that their bottoms are too big, their thighs are too heavy, their shoulders are too narrow, or their belly too round. They will believe that they are just not perfect. They just not fit the ¡§standard.¡ The media has provided a bad atmosphere in the society; hence, diet products¡ advertisements are showing everywhere in the country such as on the television, in the newspapers, and in the magazines. These advertisements are applying an image of a perfect figure for women. Models in the magazines have the same type of body. They are skinny, tall, look cool, and so forth. In reality, women have an inherent characteristic to love beauty. No matter how old they are, females are still concerned about their body figure more than everything else.
