             The influences present in our society causes Weight Loss to be a vibrant issue in the minds of many in today's society. The Media through the route of TV shows, commercials, magazines enforces a depiction of a "perfect body". Weight Loss Ads continue to defy the reality of being obese or relatively slender. The media has been denounced for creating an image that can be fallacy or simply false. The need to be slender has produced depression among those who are obese, false testimonials of rejuvenated individuals portrays a depiction of a much better lifestyle, and the side effect are often obscured from public view, depicting weight loss as a feasible opportunity.
             Advertisements by firms intending to sell their product or service depict happiness as a staple emotion for those who are physically fitter, while the obese are portrayed in a state of depression. People who complete their diet schedule or intake of diet pills are seen to have a much happier life style in comparison to the 'black sheep' or the obese individuals. This media displayed 'perfect body' type cause many negative effects of women such as lower self esteem and are more likely to be subject to eating disorders. The combination of the two stereotypes induced together on audience often lead to sales which is a natural goal for the weight loss firms wanting to make a profit. The Fallacy of the happy or unhappy version of family or lifestyle could only be cleared with increase in self esteem of these individuals. This would not be such a problem if the images were not reinforced in the media daily. However, if an individual can view the falsification of such media portrayal it can also boost one's self esteem in turn leading to a happy lifestyle.
