DESIREE

             In the past few weeks while reading stories, I gave them many thoughts. I thought over and over about two stories that I gave me great interest. The two stories that I can compare my situations to would be "Desiree's Baby" and "Sweat". I chose these stories because I can show relations with these stories. The authors of these stories gave great details about its purpose. These stories gave good character and author's purpose. At the end of each store there is a lesson to be learned. Each of the stories that I read had a lesson that can help me in my everyday use.
             In the story Desiree's Baby, Kate Chopin came across a very interest purpose. The author's purpose of this story to me was "Don't judge a book by its cover". Chopin made some interesting points on how Armand went on to judge the baby by its looks and it end up hurting him in the long run. In this story the lesson is taught at the end of the story. It was hard to know who would be at fought for the child skin being darker.
             In the story Sweat, Zora Neale Hurston had a great purpose. Her purpose of the story was that "You reap what you sow". After reading the story I understood why the author purpose came to be so clear. While reading the story you can tell that he tried to get Delia to leave the house by placing a snake in the house but the snake turned and attack him instead. Even though he wanted the snake to harm her but, look who it turned on. I thought another of Hurston purposes was that woman doesn't need a man to survive. The only reason why I came up with this purpose was because Delia basically does everything for herself. The author wanted the reader to see that
             While reading these stories each story had a culture relation. I think that these stories were both during the racist's period. The authors of each story made it clear by some of the scenes and things they me...
