Divorce

             Divorce is a word that all people have heard about and some people have experienced. Since I had moved around the first ten years of my life I never had the single thought of my parents being separated. On one side of my family I typically saw divorce and I told myself that I am glad that my parents are not divorced. I did not know how it was for the other people; they were taking it pretty well for the first time. I always wondered why their parents got divorced but never asked and assumed they just fell out of love. Divorce may bring heartbreak but it can also open the eyes of people who need live off the happy endings.
             As I came home from Memorial Day weekend at the beach, with my dad, I had a wonderful time at the beach where I was able to hang out with my family. As I returned home I knew there was something wrong with the behavior my dad was displaying. I told my dad about my weekend, since he was not able to go to because he had a wedding to go to in Mexico for one of his relatives. As my dad and I started to unpack, my dad did not say much about the wedding or even about his weekend. I knew that there was something wrong and something on his mind. I asked him what was going on but he did not answer me. When we finished the unpacking, with a deeply quiet silence, my mom, my sister and my cousin came over with the rest of the stuff that we had left at the beach. As my mom went inside my sister, my cousin and I did the rest of the unpacking. As my sister started to tell me what she did when she was at the beach, I told her that there was something wrong with dad and that he was acting very different. When we had finished unpacking, my sister, my cousin and I went inside to sit down. As we started inside, we noticed my parents were already sitting and asked us if we would join them.
