In Hollywood and show business in general there is a long standing relationship with organized crime. Early on in Hollywood the influence of organized crime could make or break your career. They had gained control over some motion picture studios as well as part of the recording industry. This relationship is also highlighted in the many ways that Frank Sinatra has been linked to various organized crime figures throughout history.

The Sopranos has grabbed a huge audience by offering the portrayal of a modern day organized crime boss and how common family issues come up in his life. This genre has essentially developed into a way to offer both the tough, violent nature of things with the human struggle that we all face in America.

Organized Crimes influence even reaches national T. Often times they are somewhat admired for the extent they will go to in order to reach their dreams. This show has won not only the acclaim of viewers but of critics as well. Along with other features such as Goodfellas and Casino these films have painted the picture of hard working honest criminals pursuing the American dream by any means necessary. This genre has influenced popular culture for many years and does not appear to be losing any steam which is evident in the popularity of The Sopranos.
