Cool Cars

             These days transportation is a big part of all our lives. We need it to get from one place to another, walking to the store has become rare, due to the great distances between places, and because walking in certain places has become unsafe. Cars and bikes are the solution to fast and safe travel to and from places.
             We have seen two options here for commuting, and some of the general benefits of these automobiles. However as everything in life, even these modes of commuting have their pros and cons.
             Let us first look at the advantages of transporting by cars. They are fast, safe, reliable, convenient, comfortable, and many people can travel in one at a time. Cars look good; they have become part of fashion these days for the younger generation. Teenagers like to take fancy looking cars to school and college, to impress their friends.
             Bikes are fun, they are not as expensive to maintain as cars, not as expensive to buy, and not as difficult to maintain. They are a very useful source of transportation in heavy traffic.
             Yet both cars and bikes have disadvantages too. Bikes are rather dangerous compared to cars. If one were to have an accident on a bike, their chances of surviving injuries are lesser than if one were to have an accident in a car. Precautions can be taken however, such as using a helmet and wearing kneepads. Bikes pollute the atmosphere, as do cars. They can be nosier than cars hence adding to noise pollution. Cars are expensive to maintain and buy, they require us to have insurance for both cars and bikes, which adds a great deal to our living expenses. Gas prices are high and cars require a lot of fuel to move. Cars also cause a lot of air pollution to the atmosphere.
