Richard III

This passage occurs during a flash foward to Queen Margaret in her older years. She is in discussion with Queen Elizabeth and also with the Dutchess of York.

I think this passage is at a interesting junction of the play. Margaret uses a lot of emotion during this scene. She uses colorful languange which seems to be cursing when talking to Queen Eliz. The emotional factor in this scene/passage is guided by the fact that immediatley before this dialouge the Queens are talking about their losses of sons and husbands, both realize there losses are similar and that someone shall be "scorn" or cursed.

. . .

This betrayal goes against the values and qualities a true lover would hold. Twelfth Night and Richard III have very differnt uses of love within the frames of the plays. A lover is usually of the other sex. And even more so when Olivia is dressed as Cesario, her encounters with Orsino are overwhelmingly erotic, indicating a kind of boy-love that Orsino feels towards Cesario. A "LOVER" can take on many physical charateristics.
